- "We'll sweep away the old year and bring the New Year in!" The Long Company Mummers perform their traditional play at the Hinchliffe Arms

- Easter is the time for egg hunts and Easter bonnets! Children from Cragg Vale Junior & Infants School enjoy Cragg Vale's refurbished Park and Community Garden
- 'Saw Sunday', a tradition dating back over 300 years, is celebrated on the first Sunday in May at the spa, restored in 2010, and is once again an annual event
- The Calderdale Way becomes a flagged path once used by mill workers as it drops down from Deacon Hill, Old Cragg Hall can be glimpsed across the valley
- St. John The Baptist In The Wilderness, at the heart of Cragg Vale, is the venue for Cragg Vale School's fete and annual duck race in Cragg Brook
- Old Cragg Hall, built 1617, looks down into the valley where Turvin Clough and Withens Clough join to form Cragg Brook, a favourite spot for summer fun
- Cragg Vale is criss-crossed by old paths between dry stone walls. In September the music at Cragg Fest, held behind the Robin Hood, brings young and old together
